Moises Gutierrez
My name is Moises M Gutierrez; I am originally from the Southwest. I graduated from the University of California at Riverside in 1996 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. For 20+ years, I worked as a process engineer and department manager in the food industry. In 2016, I decided to return to school and pursue graduate education. I started my Master's Degree studies online at Kansas State University, graduating in 2019. In 2020, I started my Ph.D. Degree at Kansas State University. My research has focused on microorganism application in the food-energy-water nexus. I research the use of microorganisms in bioremediation, especially in water retention in agricultural soils. I am married and have two children in college and a teenage child in high school. I love to travel and go to places where I have not been, and my biggest hobby is working on my genealogy project.
